A Chinese woman was seen buying six bamboo cutting boards in one go, with each board costing only $5. She said, "If I don't buy them now, the price will go up. I replace my cutting board every six months because it gets moldy. Since I'll need it anyway, I might as well buy it now." She also asked the vendor, "When will the price increase? It won't go up this week, will it?"
The street vendor, Nicole, replied to her, "The price has already increased once before. I still have some inventory left, so the current price can be maintained for a few more days. But once these remaining goods are sold out, the price will definitely go up because my purchase cost has increased. Every customer asks me whether the price will rise, and I'm really tired of answering this question to everyone!"
